Your guide on this path. I devoted the last 10 years to my tantra, yoga, and meditation practice. I had to because for most of my life I didn’t feel much. Well… that is not completely true. When I did very extreme things like downhill skateboarding, windsurfing on a stormy sea, or when I was chased by the cops for petty crime, I felt alive. For a moment life was full of sensation and full of meaning.
Till the age of 25, I enjoyed the richness of life to its full extent. I was a captain on classical sailing yachts which I sailed across the Atlantic Ocean, I worked as an innovation consultant helping corporates start sustainable initiatives and I started a fruit-based ice cream company. For a period in my life, all external things were great. Money was pouring in and there were all-night parties - on the outside life was exciting.
But from the inside, I felt more empty and hollow every step of the way.
Then the burnout came. Life said STOP.
And there the journey inward started.
It started with yoga and meditation, but I longed for a tradition that would invite more liveliness, sexuality, and self-expression.
For me, tantra provided that invitation.
I have studied with modern tanra schools learning all about sexual practices and dived deep into the classical tantra teachings to learn how it was done back in the days in India.
I combine these experiences with western psychotherapeutic modalities and shadow work (I am a certified Feeding your Demons therapist).
I founded Tara Academy to make these profound teachings and practices available to the wider public in an accessible and safe way.
